2018 New Year’s Resolutions

2018 starts in a few days! I, just like you, cannot believe how fast 2017 went by. There are so many traditions some of us do to celebrate this new beginning. The most common is setting New Year’s Resolutions.

Mine are mostly business related and some personal, obviously but to share one, would have to be – Is to purposefully schedule family time. Sometimes, it is easy to prioritize; working, friends and volunteering. I am guilty of it, especially this last year.

I think that Resolutions are Goals so, with that, for the past couple of months, I have been trying to narrow down a good way to set goals.  You know, to make them attainable instead of burning out before I even get started. I came across S.M.A.R.T. Goals and have implemented them with my resolutions. Do you know what S.M.A.R.T. means?  Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant & Timely.

Specific – Be specific and exact, not vague.

Measurable – How will you know if you meet your goal/resolution?

Achievable – What steps are you going to take to reach your goal/resolution?

Relevant – What about your goal makes it important to you?

Timely – When do you want to complete your goal/resolution?

There are so many resources on Pinterest (a website I am NEVER on – at all) to turn to that can take you step by step in figuring out your goals or resolutions to helping you create a time frame to accomplish them.  In the meantime, here is a New Year’s Resolution sheet for you to print out and write down your resolutions, as vague or as specific as you would like. If you want a full size or have trouble printing, email me at  In subject line put 2018 New Year’s Resolution and I will email it to a.s.a.p.

Talk to you soon and Happy New Year!
